As vice president, finance, Jed Richardson is responsible for developing and implementing the debt capital strategies of MacFarlane Partners and its real estate investment programs. He oversees the firm’s relationships with its strategic financial partners and leads an internal team in executing corporate, fund-level and asset-level financings.
Career Overview
Jed has 18 years of experience as an investment and commercial banker, during which he underwrote more than $5 billion in debt for dozens of corporate clients. After covering various industries – including gaming, energy, leisure and consumer products – he spent the past eight years lending to real estate operating and development companies.
Past Experience
Prior to joining MacFarlane Partners, Jed worked in various capacities in the San Francisco office of Scotia Capital, a global corporate and investment banking firm, for more than 14 years. Most recently, he was director of real estate corporate and investment banking, with responsibility for providing corporate and project loans, as well as subscription lines of credit, to more than 50 real estate clients, including AMB Property Corporation, AEG, Colony Capital, Kilroy Realty, Kimpton Hotels, Prologis and Westfield Group. He also arranged lending syndicates and participated in bond and equity underwritings.
Jed began his banking career with Magna Group (now Regions Bank) in St. Louis, working first as manager of a newly opened bank branch and then as a commercial banking credit analyst overseeing a mid-market commercial loan portfolio.
